Josh Eggleton, Chris Wheeler and Emily Scott are just a few of the chefs taking part in the upcoming ‘#12Chefs12Nights’charity evenings at Oliver’s restaurant in Falmouth, Cornwall.
Over 12 weeks between January and March 2017, 12 chefs from across the UK will be taking over the Oliver’s kitchens to cook their favourite dishes with the hope of raising £10,000 across the event for Macmillan Cancer Support and Hospitality Action.
Alongside owner and head chef Ken Symons, the chefs will be creating tasting menus utilising fresh local produce provided by main sponsors WestCountry and Origin.
Symons and the guest chefs will also be supported by students from the hospitality departments at Cornwall College and Truro and Penwith College, giving them the opportunity to gain both kitchen and front-of-house experience.
Symons explained that Macmillan is both “a special and personal” charity to him. He added: “We should all be supporting this industry charity [Hospitality Action], we could all need their help one day, you never know.”
