The capital’s first croquetas challenge, hosted by Ember Yard – a restaurant which is part of the Salt Yard Group, will see restaurants such as Social Wine & Tapas, Jamie Oliver’s Fifteen and the Modern Pantry go head to head to create the best croquetas on 6 September.
Hosted by director of the Salt Yard group, Ben Tish, the competition aims to refine the snack and a panel of judges will decide on their favourite.
Recipes will range from the traditional croquetas de jamón, to oxtail, apricot and peanut; aubergine and goat’s cheese with crystallised acacia honey and rosemary; and smoked eel, horseradish and beetroot flavour combinations.
Confirmed participants include: Salt Yard, José Pizarro, Social Wine & Tapas, the Modern Pantry, Brindisa Kitchens, Oldroyd, Aqua Nueva, Duende, Copita, Barrica, Camino, Jamie Oliver’s Fifteen, Riding House Café, and Señor Ceviche.
The competition will take place on Tuesday 6 September at 6pm at Ember Yard on Berwick Street, London, and tickets are priced at £15 per person. Get yours by calling 020 7439 8057 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
