Foodservice suppliers were rewarded for going that extra mile at Country Range Group’s first annual awards night, hosted by BBC Radio 2 presenter Jeremy Vine.
An evening with Country Range Group and 2013 Supplier Awards, which also celebrated the wholesale group’s 21st anniversary, took place at East Wintergarden, Canary Wharf, last night.
The Marketing Excellence award went to Nestlé Professional for executing a dynamic marketing programme in support of their brands to drive category growth within Country Range Group.
The Business Relationship award was presented to Major International for making a positive contribution to group business, taking into consideration the team’s proactive attitude, ability to make key decisions and resolve queries and issues.
The Service Performance award went to British Pepper & Spice for showing the best service performance during 2013, measured on delivery and administrative accuracy.
Newcomer of the Year was presented to HB Ingredients for making the most impact since introduction to the group, providing creative, sales and, category benefits. Own Brand Supplier of the Year went to d’Arta for being the most proactive in developing business in line with Country Range Group’s own brand strategy.
Frozen Food Supplier of the Year was won by Kara Foodservice for outstanding performance over the past year in all areas of marketing, service, business relationship and group support on a national and local basis.
National Account Manager of the Year was awarded to Neil Carter from Nestlé Professional, recognising his significant effort to make a positive contribution to the group.
Finally, the Branded Supplier of the Year award, which recognises the consistently high results and delivery of exceptional performance across the areas of business relationships, marketing, and service support, was awarded to Unilever Foodservice Solutions.
Country Range Group managing director Coral Rose said: “It was wonderful to reward our suppliers, with everyone shortlisted undergoing a rigorous judging process, scored by our group members. We’d like to extend our congratulations to everyone who helped to make this evening a resounding success and we look forward to another year of growth for the group.”
A raffle was held during the evening to raise funds for Save the Children Syria Appeal. The sum raised by guests was matched by Country Range Group, raising a total of £3316 for the appeal.
