Frederick Forster, the Craft Guild’s National Chef of the Year 2011 will be showcasing a Gastronomic journey of the Best of British cuisine at a special ‘Best of British’ pop-up event on Monday 14th May at Westminster Kingsway College, The Vincent Rooms Vincent Square, London.

This year the spotlight is on Great Britain. As the host of the 2012 London Olympic Games and the highly anticipated Diamond Jubilee of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth, what better time to celebrate what makes this nation so very, well, British. The “Best of British” is a one night only pop-up event that encapsulates the modern day look and feel of British cuisine through the development of the freshest flavours and finest produce Great Britain has to offer.

Under the stewardship of the National Chef of the Year for 2011, Frederick Forster, The Best of British is a four-course gastronomic journey that emulates the food identities of England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales – with a delicate modern twist. In line with Frederick’s unique style of cooking the evening focuses on uncomplicated ingredients that have been sourced from the finest locations throughout Great Britain. With the aim of celebrating excellence within the London hospitality and catering industry, The Best of British has partnered with the UK’s most renowned hospitality and catering professionals and suppliers to produce a truly quintessential British evening.

The evening will be attended by a select group of London’s most respected individuals within the hospitality and catering industry to celebrate the past, present and exciting future of the British food scene.
